Many people don't know our land is under a wildlife management tax valuation. This means getting a tax incentive to actively care for the land and the wild animals with the focus of nurturing native plants, providing shelter and supplemental food sources for animals and creating and maintaining water access. We love to do our part to protect our most precious resource, nature.
This benefits our Photography Clients because our land is kept natural and you will find yourself surrounded by golden grasses, big skies and lots of songbirds. This gives your family and pet portraits an authentic backdrop that feels untouched and timeless.
Aside from family and pet photography, I also take time to photograph the many wildlife and wild places that thrive on this land. These personal projects fuel my creativity and give me the chance to roam around. Some of those mornings and golden hour adventures give me ideas for posing and finding the perfect light that later inspire your session.
On this day I went out with Lee Kothmann, owner of Restore Texas, LLC for a songbird survey on our property. It was so fun to watch him and we came across this Painted Bunting that was super cool! I also got lessons on native grasses that we have many variety's of on our property. Lee can do a lot of his bird counting by listening to the bird's songs and even singing to them. That is very impressive to me. I highly recommend Lee if you are needing any land servicing!
Lee went out after our adventure with the bird survey and treated for imported Red Fire Ants. I was happy not to join in on this activity! We sure are happy to lesson those guys though. They are hard on ground nesting birds and other wildlife too.
By maintaining this land for wildlife-we're enriching the experience we offer our clients. When you book a session with me you are part of something bigger: your family portrait in a place that is being lovingly preserved for future generations.
